Who We Are

A holding company built around electricians.

Teague Holdings is a long-term home for people-first electrical contractors. We partner with the best local companies, keep what makes them great, and put the backbone of a much larger business behind them. It started with Teague Electric — a Kansas City institution since 1978 — so we know this trade from the field up. Local roots, real operators, and the patience to build something that lasts.

Electricians first

Take care of the people in the field, and the customers follow.

Keep what works

Same name, same crew, same standards. We don't gut what we buy.

Local leadership

The people who already run each company keep running it. We add muscle, not meddling.

A future in the trade

Training, career paths, and investment so good electricians stay and grow.

Built to hold

A long-term owner, not a flipper. We grow companies and keep them.

The name carries forward

We protect the reputation you spent decades building.

Leadership

The people behind it.

A small, hands-on team — the people you'll actually deal with, not a layer of intermediaries.

Our Why

Take care of the electricians, and they take care of the customers.

Great electrical work is built in the field — by skilled people who are looked after, trained, and given a real future. Invest in the electricians, and they take care of the customers, who keep calling and refer the next one. Most of the industry has that order backwards. We didn't invent getting it right — it's the standard the Teague name has carried in Kansas City for nearly fifty years, and the one Harold Teague is still known for. We're building a company to carry it forward.

Two Paths

Whichever way you're headed.

Most owners we talk to want one of two things. We're built for both.

If you've built enough

You created something real. We make sure it sustains — with your people taken care of, your name respected, and your reputation intact. Stay involved as long as you want, or phase out. Either way, you'll know it's in the right hands.

If you're going further

You're not looking for an exit. You're looking for leverage — access to capital, a tested playbook, and a team that's already done what you're trying to do. We bring the infrastructure so you can move faster, take on bigger work, and build the kind of company you're meant to run.

Our Process

Selling should be the straightforward part.

We keep it fast, clear, and fair — so you can keep running the business while we handle the process.

01 — Speed

Move fast, answer early

Committed capital and a team that's done this many times mean a real answer early — not a drawn-out process that pulls you off the job.

02 — Transparency

No surprises

A straight process and open communication, from the first call to closing day — you'll always know exactly where things stand.

03 — Value

Full value for what you built

A price and structure that reflect what the business is really worth — the one you spent years building — with everyone's interests aligned for the long run.

FAQ

The straight answers.

Will you keep our name and brand?
That's the default. Your name, your reputation, and the relationships behind it are a big part of what makes the business work — we're not interested in erasing them. Any change is a conversation, never a condition.
What happens to my employees?
They stay, and the goal is more opportunity — not less. We grow by investing in field teams with training, equipment, and real career paths. In our own company, much of the workforce has been here 15+ years and every senior field and management role has been filled from within.
Do I have to leave after closing?
No. Your role is built around what you want — stay on and keep running the business, or transition out over time. We'll set the timeline together.
Can I keep a stake in the business?
Yes. Many owners roll a portion of their equity into the holding company — which means a second outcome down the road if we build something bigger together.
How fast can you move, and how certain is the close?
We have committed capital and an experienced deal team, so we can move quickly and give you a clear answer early. We aim for certainty — not a drawn-out process that pulls you away from running the business.
Will this stay confidential?
Completely. Conversations are private and discreet. Nothing reaches your employees, customers, or competitors unless and until you decide it should.

Thinking about the next chapter for the business you built?

Whether you're ready to explore a partnership or just want to understand your options, we'd welcome a conversation. One conversation — no pressure, no obligation, completely confidential. However it goes, you'll come away knowing where you stand.

Advisors and intermediaries welcome. If you're representing an owner who fits our criteria, reach out — we move quickly on qualified opportunities.
